Shapes for Women is located in Houston, Texas and was founded in 2001
by Symanthia Harper and Max Mclendon. These two individuals also
own and operate Shapes for Woman Circuit Gym in Houston Texas and have
enjoyed the success that this industry has offered.
Fitness had become
very important to Symanthia whose own health was declining. After
joining another well known circuit fintess center and inspecting the
operation, she decided that she could create a better, healthier and
more caring fitness program for women and men, in different sessions
of course.
Her idea was a success and she herself lost over 60 lbs.
After initially purchasing equipment for her own Gym, she quickly
realized that sturdier, heavier duty and better equipment was needed
to take the actual abuse that fitness machines endure during their
daily use, especially by heavy set people.
Equipment that wouldn't
tip, or need hydraulic cylinder replacements every 4 months.
In
her search, she discovered that there is only one American manufacturer
of hydraulic fitness equipment of this sort. She continued her
search and found the developer of the very first hydraulic fitness
machines and Shapes Hydraulic Fitness Equipment was off and running.
Symanthia really wanted excellent hydraulic fitness stations that
wouldn't tip, were heavy duty, low or no maintenance for
the operator and were easy to get in and out of and to adjust
for anyone of any shape, size or mobility level at a low initial
cost, an affordable price, and that's just what she found.
She used this equipment as the basis of her complete
fitness center package, which now includes everything
you need to start your own fitness business from marketing
tools to music to accessories, tips, advice, setup, training,
music, prompts, gym management systems and more!
